Clauses of reason

عبارات السبب

ملاحظة:

ستجد في الصيغ علامة شرطة مائلة, وهي للشرح فقط ( معاناها او العبارة ) يعني بدلا من ان يعيد الجملة في كل مره مع عبارة جديده وضع شرطة مائلة للعبارة المتاحة الأخرى.

• Clauses of reason express the reason for something.

They are introduced with because, as and since.

عبارات السبب تعبر عن سبب شيء ما. وهي تأتي مع because ,as, since

الأمثلة:

I tiptoed into the living room as I didn't want to disturb my grandfather.

دخلت إلى غرفة المعيشة لأنني لا أريد أن أزعج جدي.

Note: ملاحظة

To express reason we can also use because of / due to + -ing form or noun or the fact + that clause

للتعبير عن سبب:

يمكننا أيضا استخدام because of  مع الفعل مضاف له ing أو اسم أو عبارة the fact ثم that 

كذلك يمكننا استخدام due to مع الفعل مضاف له ing أو اسم أو عبارة the fact ثم that 

مثال:

Due to the fact that sales have been falling this year, we won't be able to take on any more staff.

نظرًا لحقيقة انخفاض المبيعات هذا العام ، فلن نتمكن من تولي المزيد من الموظفين.

Clauses of Concession 
 عبارات الإقرار

• We use Clauses of Concession to express contrast or opposition to the main clause.

نستخدم عبارات الامتياز للتعبير عن المقارنة مع أو عكس العبارة الرئيسية.

• although / even though + subject + verb     

                  

 مثال:

( لاحظ في المثال التالي الشرطة المائلة فقط للفصل بين كذا عبارة)

Although/Even though he was starving, he didn’t take any of the food they offered him.

• in spite of / despite + noun / -ing form / what...     

الأمثلة:

Despite the heavy rain, it was very hot.   

على الرغم من الأمطار الغزيرة، كان الجو حارا جدا.

In spite of feeling afraid, Jim went on the roller coaster.

على الرغم من شعور الخوف، ذهب جيم على السفينة الدوارة.

Despite what you may think, that’s not the case.

 رغم ما تظن، ليس هذا الواقع.

• in spite of / despite + the fact + that-clause

مثال:

He went to school in spite of/despite the fact that he had a terrible headache.

ذهب إلى المدرسة (على الرغم من / على الرغم من حقيقة) أنه كان يعاني من صداع رهيب.

Clauses of Purpose  
عبارات الهدف

Clauses of purpose are introduced with:

عبارات الهدف واضحة من اسمها, نستخدمها لذكر الهدف من أمر ما.

وهي تُستخدم مع الـ base form أي الفعل في مصدر الرئيسي بدون إضافات 

صيغتها كالتالي: (صيغة بدون to )

• so that + modal verb (can/may/will/could/might/ would) + (not) + base form

مثال:

We will call him so that he will be informed about this as well.

سوف نتصل به حتى يتم إبلاغه بذلك أيضًا.

صيغة ( مع to )

• so as (not) to/in order (not) to + base form

مثال:

The burglar wore gloves so as not to leave any fingerprints.

كان اللص يلبس قفازات حتى لا يترك أي بصمات.
