a/an أدوات النكرة
Use the indefinite article a/an before singular count nouns
- when we refer to the noun in a general sense,
- and when we mention something for the first time.
استخدم أدوات النكرة a و an قبل الأسماء المعدودة المُفردة
- عندما تُشير إلى الإسم بالمعنى العام,
- وعندما نشير إلى الشيء للمرة الأولى.
مثال:
In an attempt to boost sales, a well-known soft drinks company created a new, improved formula.
في محاولة لزيادة المبيعات ، قامت شركة مشروبات غازية معروفة بإنشاء صيغة جديدة ومحسنة.
the أداة المعرفة
We use the definite article the before singular and plural nouns when we refer to something already known, mentioned or defined.
نستخدم أداة التعريف the قبل اسماء المفرد والجمع عندما نشير إلى شيء معروف بالفعل ، مذكور أو مُعرف.
مثال:
The new formula, which was tested in 200,000 taste tests replaced the original formula.
الصيغة الجديدة ، التي تم اختبارها في 200،000 اختبار الذوق محل الصيغة الأصلية.
Use the with superlative and comparative adjectives and adverbs.
مثال:
In 1876, the most important communications technology was the telegraph.
Use the to refer to inventions.
مثال:
Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone.
Don’t use the before the names of people, streets, cities, and countries.
مثال:
Fahd is my brother. He lives on Main Street. He’s in Dubai on vacation.
Count/Noncount Nouns
Count nouns name things that you can count. They have singular and plural forms.
الأسماء المعدوده تُسمي الأشياء التي يمكنك عدها ولها شكلين شكل مفرد وشكل جمع.
Singular Count Nouns الأسماء المعدودة المفردة
a warning
an iceberg
Plural Count Nouns الأسماء المعدودة الجمع
two warnings
three icebergs
Noncount nouns name things that you can’t count:
advice, information, news, time, furniture etc.
They don’t use a/an. They don’t have plural forms.
الأسماء غير المعدودة تُسمي الأشياء التي لا يُمكنك أن تعدها مثل الكلمات التالية
نصيحة, معلومات, اخبار, وقت, اثاث...الخ.
الأسماء التي لا تُعد لا تأخذ أدوات التنكير a ولا an.
الأسماء التي لا تُعد لها شكل واحد فقط. (يعني لا يأتي منها جمع ومفرد).
