Use: الاستخدام
To talk about the future in the past.
نستخدم was going to و were going to للتحدث عن الُمستقبل الذي كان في الماضي.
Last time we met, you were going to leave your job. (I don’t know if you did or not, but that was the
intention.)
Often the event did not happen.
I was going to offer you a drink.
(But then I saw that you had one.)
كنت سأقدم لك مشروبًا
(ولكن بعد ذلك رأيت أن لديك واحد). = أي معك مشروب.
