positive statement + negative tag
negative statement + positive tag
Use the auxiliary verb (be, do, have or the
modal verbs) for the question tag.
You watch Khawater regularly, don’t you?
You’ve got a Kindle, haven’t you?
Auntie is coming next week, isn’t she?
Adib mustn’t play too long on the
computer, must he?
Short answers
Use the auxiliary verb in the short
answer.
You’ve got a car, haven’t you? Yes, I have.
