Relative Pronouns: Who, That, Which
ضمائر الوصل: who, that, which
Relative clauses add information about a noun in the main clause.
ضمائر الوصل تُضيف معلومات عن أي اسم في الجملة الرئيسية.
ضمائر الوصل مثل: who, that, which تعني: الذي\التي\الذين ...الخ.
Use the relative pronoun who or that for people.
استخدم ضمير الوصل الذي who أو that للناس.
Use the relative pronoun that or which for things and animals.
استخدم ضمير الوصل which أو that للأشياء والحيوانات.
الأمثلة:
في الأمثلة التالية في المرة الأولى نستخدم الجملة بدون ضمير وصل ثم نفس الجملة نستخدم معها ضمير وصل.
The man was talking to the tourists. He was friendly.
الرجل كان يتحدث للسائحين. كان ودود.
The man who/that was talking to the tourists was friendly. (relative clause)
الرجل الذي كان يتحدث للسائحين كان ودودًا. (عبارة الوصل)
The computer company is making a good profit. It is called Easy Surf.
شركة الكمبيوتر تحقق ربحًا جيدًا. تُسمى تصفح سهل.
The computer company that/which is making a good profit is called Easy Surf.
