( Present Perfect Progressive versus present perfect simple )

Time Expressions: How long …?    تعابير الوقت

Use the present perfect progressive tense with for to indicate the duration of the action:

 for two months, for a year, for a long time.

استخدم المضارع التام المُستمر مع for للإشارة إلى مُدة الحدث, مثل:

لمدة شهرين ، لمدة عام ، لفترة طويلة.

Use the present perfect progressive with since to indicate when the action began:

since yesterday, since last June, since 2010.

استخدم المضارع التام المُستمر مع since للإشارة إلى متى بدأ الحدث, مثال:

منذ الأمس ، منذ يونيو الماضي ، منذ 2010.

Use the present perfect progressive with all… and so on to talk about the duration of the action, which may or may not have finished:

all day, all week, all month, all year, all my life.

استخدم المضارع التام المُستمر مع all للإشارة إلى مُدة حدث قد يكون أو لا يكون انتهى, 

مثال:

طوال اليوم ، طوال الأسبوع ، كل شهر ، طوال العام ، طوال حياتي.
